You know the doom and gloom parts of what we will be facing if we keep headed down the road of environmental destruction, ya de ya. Though that is true, I am really tired of viewing films that continue to focus on the problems instead of the solutions.

Thankfully, 2012 Time for Change is not one of those films.

The film is told through Daniel Pinchbeck personal story of his conscious evolution. Creating a casual style of interview, story and filming techniques. Beware that most of the interviews were shot hand held, giving a shaky feel. Not to be view up close if at all possible.

As far as the story line, it is definitely for right-brained people as the connections flow and interweave together. Which may be hard to follow for someone who is left-brain oriented and not familiar with any of these subjects. It could be a bit of a psychedelic experience just to watch the film. Heck I even know about these entire subjects and it still blows my circuits as I watch this film. For me that is mostly because all the solutions are presented in the film. It introduces subjects and solutions such as, psychedelics, shamanism, permiculture, intelligence of spirituality, mycelium networks, meditation, yoga, alternative architecture, science of psychic phenomena, and cooperative money systems.

The subjects are tied in through cute cartoon images that give your brain a rest.

Daniel Pinchbeck asks Dean Radin, Ph.D. Senior Scientist, Institute of Noetic Sciences,

“What do you think of the whole 2012 phenomenon?”

“I think that if a lot of people are lead to expect that something horrendous is going to occur it’s much more likely to occur. It doesn’t mean that it will. But it is much more likely. Part of what we can do is social engineering. To get people to look at the positive side of big transformational changes.”

- Dean Radin, Ph.D. Senior Scientist, Institute of Noetic Sciences.

As a bonus a few celebrities are featured speaking on their awakening experiences, such as Sting.

“I’ve done ashtanga yoga for quite some time and at the end of an ashtanga session, you do enter an alpha state. For me it is not as profound as the Ayahuasca experience. Nonetheless I can see how by extension you just keep doing that and you can get to the same place. Same way you can do by fasting or meditation. We are all going into the same place in the brain where we can access the eternal, and that is really the goal” - Sting

This is the one piece I agree on within the subject of psychedelics, which seems to be one of the main solutions for Pinchbeck, as it comes up in the begging of the film. Though I do not encourage repetitive drug use to reach a state of enlightened consciousness, there is something to say for these experiences. That is if taken under the right direction within sacred ceremonial circumstances to be used as a real gateway to the hyper dimensional spirit world, then it may be ok.

See sometimes people especially males need a little help reaching states of direct communion (communication) with God. Females tend to have an easier connection with the divine spirit and natural world.

Psychedelic drugs such as ayahuasca, mushrooms and yes even pot are really only to be used once to a few times in ones life, so that you can experience a reference point from which to create the same or similar experience on your own naturally within your body chemistry. And that is what Sting is talking about. Thank you god for leaving Stings quote in the film, other wise I may not have even been writing this review.

To conclude, as the Native American man said as the credits rolled.

“People will get. The idea of that new world, it’s already here.”

Electronic Awakenings

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/10/electronic-awakenings.html

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/10/electronic-awakenings.html#comments

Uncategorized

As a sound healer, being someone who understands how sound waves and v [...]

As a sound healer, being someone who understands how sound waves and vibrations are used as a tool for transformative healing I had to blog about this film, Electronic Awakening.

I have been to many weekly dance gathering such as, Dance Tribe, Dance Church, Sweat Your Prayers, Dancing Freedom, 5 Rhythms Dance, and Ecstatic Dance, all where you are provided a safe space to have a spiritual experience through dancing with yourself or with others. It's a place where you don't come to pick up on someone or dirty dance but a place to have an inner dance, or an open connected dance. The music that is played is from a myriad of genres and styles depending on the DJ. Though I have not experience a lot of the electronic music played at these dances I have experienced electronic music at festivals. This is reflected in the 10-10-11 premier of the new HBO show Enlightened. The series centers around one women's self awakening after she has a blow up at work that causes her to go treatment in Hawaii where she meditates in order to find herself. After her retreat (treatment) she is able to go back to her old job in a lower position. She brings to the office a new found since of purpose, environmentalism and a passion for positive change. Though not everyone around her shares the same ideals, she sticks to living her new enlightened way of life.

Having gone through my own enlightenment process and still going through it with new levels, I can relate to this character. I've done what she does by coming home and telling her parents and friends how they can improve their lives whether they want to hear it or not. Though the show makes fun moments like those, it is important insight to learn from what most people go through in these situations. Most newly enlightened tend to be so excited and feel a since of responsibility to change the world that they share what they have learned with others before the recipient is ready to receive. Which can leave them frustrated and feeling alone in this new world. But when you find someone who is ready to understand the insights and teachings it can be a validating accomplishment.

The character not only reminds me of myself but of my friends within spiritual communities and festival scenes. We are able to have gratifying moments of meeting friends who are on similar enlightenment paths within certain communities and festivals. I feel this is where we are able to find others on our wavelength. Otherwise we are met with the people whom this character interacts with in her office; people not understanding or unwilling to change for the betterment of humanity and themselves.

This leaves us frustrated, not wanting to be in typical job situations. Yearning to do more for the planet and with ourselves, but not having the model in which to do it, therefore being looked at as crazy in the process. Welcome to enlightenment! For the real test of enlightenment isn't just the ability to center and find yourself but to hold your own knowingness of true self while others around you aren't.

And this is exactly what HBO has captured in Enlightenment.

Thrive and Play it Forward on 11.11.11

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/10/thrive-and-play-it-forward-on-111111.html

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/10/thrive-and-play-it-forward-on-111111.html#comments

Uncategorized

I am super excited to see the premier of the film Thrive on the launch of the Play It Forward platform by Elevate Films. Call upon the Ascended Masters often, especially when you see the number 3 patterns around you. It's a circle, circling around again. But you gotta keep you head up and you can let you hair down."
This song has a great message that says if you keep a positive relaxed out look, you will get through the tough times in your life and the every day annoyances.

Well I sure am keeping my head up.

6-24-11 Melissa Laine

I caught Bieber Fever

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/06/i-caught-bieber-fever.html

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/06/i-caught-bieber-fever.html#comments

Uncategorized

[...]

Ok well not exactly the Bieber Fever you've been hearing about where all these little girls scream like crazy over the latest pop star Justin Bieber. No I didn't catch that. I caught the understanding of who Justin Bieber really is through the intimate portrayal of him in the film, Never Say Never. I wanted to watch the movie because of the inspirational story of a kid achieving his dreams. I had heard that a friend of a friend had cried while watching this movie because of how inspiring it was. I saw this film and cried too!

You're probably thinking how could a film about a 16 year old instant pop star make a mid 20s and middle aged women cry? Well let me tell you that I have actually be drawing inspiration from other teenagers around me. Namely dancers from my old hip-hop company. There is something about watching someone grow up who stuck to perfecting their talent and seeing their growth into a beautiful artist. It's enriching, satisfying and so inspiring. That's what the next generations do. They renew. They are new, and through them we have a chance to be renewed. I got to do that by dancing as an alumni in my company's 9th annual showcase. And I got to experience that energy again through watching this film.

The movie is a clever documentary centered around Bieber's first major tour and one specific concert at Madison Square Garden that epitomizes Justin as having "made it" as an artist. The film intercuts between timelines of the concerts to his early childhood. Creating an entertaining story line of Justin's life and musical ambitions.

Justin's mom had him at an early age as a teen parent. She appears still very young in her interviews. Young enough to be born in the age of Indigos. Therefore if she has codes of an indigo Justin must be a crystal. These names "indigo" and "crystal" are used to define people who have certain spiritual abilities or "codes" turned on for certain purposes like healing or for being a light message carrier. I see this within Justin and his mom, though their codes are not fully turned on they are expressed through their love of God. There is a part where his mom prays with the crew before a performance. Justin is shown with his friends at a restaurant but before they eat Justin prays and gives thanks for the time that they have to spend together.

This crystalline Christ light becomes clearer to me further into the movie when Justin wears his favorite color purple on stage. He wears purple shoes with white pants and a purple hoodie. When I was a manager at a spiritual healing community, Purple and White were the only colors we were able to wear. Purple is a highly spiritual and royal color. White represents purity and within white light, all colors exist.

For these reasons I see Justin in his crystalline, christ consciousness energy, as a violet flame light carrier, spreading his message of love and trust for dreams to manifest with infinite possibilities.

This film has inspired me to fulfill all my dreams even the ones I had given up on.

That is why I'm going to get this film to watch when I'm having a bad day, to pick me up.

Tags: Movie Trailers, Movies Blog

Activating Mainstream Music

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/05/activating-mainstream-music.html

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/05/activating-mainstream-music.html#comments

Uncategorized

Recently I turned my car radio over to the mainstream pop/ hip-hop station. The first song that played was "Who Says". I have heard this song a few times before and have been wanting to know who sings it. It's a powerful song to embrace and be who you are, no matter what others say. It's a fun way to take outside influence inventory. Have you been following the advice of others and not listening to yourself? Have you been wanting to fulfill a dream or passion that others say won't work, won't make you money, and are just plain being negative about it? Have you been the one saying these things to yourself? Discredit and don't listen those negative statements and thoughts. Because that is not your truth. Ask as they do in Access Consciousness in regards to energies and thoughts, "Who does this belong to?" Most of the time that thought or feeling is coming from other outside influences meant to keep you unhappy and unable to be in the power of your own light. This song sum that up beautifully while holding the positive energy of your infinite potential! And to see the mainstream Disney star, Selena Gomez sing this is amazing testament that consciousness can be spread in the mainstream and resonate!

The next song that came on the radio station was "Price Tag," a song about how we don't need to value money over our happiness. A lyric in the song says "We don't your money." aka WE DON"T NEED MONEY. This activated a full over arching connection between 3 of my ideas to the possibility of being able to get our basic needs met without money. Which created a more refined road map for a project to help humanity do this by connecting us as a healing and resource community. WOOHOO I am excited! And to think this songs triggered my thoughts to connect these realizations, ahhhmazing! Enjoy your own activations with these songs :)

Dove Awards - Christian Hip-Hop

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/04/dove-awards-christian-hip-hop.html

http://www.consciouscontenttv.com/1/post/2011/04/dove-awards-christian-hip-hop.html#comments

Uncategorized

The Dove Awards should be nicknamed the Love Awards because the show hon [...]

The Dove Awards should be nicknamed the Love Awards because the show honors the positive music of love. The main message in all the songs of the Gospel Music Association is about God, which is the basis for Love.

Lately I have been really into listing to positive hip-hop and rap like Kellee Maize and certain songs from mainstream artists. I focus all of my media time on listening to music that makes me feel good, positive and uplifted. This is why I listen to radio stations like Air 1 and know about the Dove Awards. Yes I honor and love Jesus but I am more into the music for how good it makes me feel. It helps open up my love for myself and others. Now isn't that something we all need more of from our entrainment?
Now the Dove Awards are not going to present you with the typical Jesus Freak music. No this is hip and hot. Take the Hip-Hop artist that were nominated and won, Group 1 Crew. They make top quality music comparable to Billboards top 40. You won't hear direct praises to god, but the positive love is splattered all over their electronic beats. Now where do I have to go to dance in a club that plays only music like Group 1 Crew? Hun where? Please let me know of the Conscious Hip-Hop Club.
