11:11:11 It's Time to Free Energy 11/11/2011
"Free Energy" is by far my favorite Luminaries music video. It is edited well with great background effects that create an old style black and white news reel feel. But that just supports the real reason why this video is so epic, the subject of the song; free energy. Upon first view I cried because of the truth and struggle of this message and the beauty of these creative people bringing light to this subject! It may be news to some that we can actually create energy from an invisible source. This goes beyond just using environmentally friendly energy like, solar and wind. By using the eco energy to power machines that can harness an infinite source of energy pulled straight out of thin air. This is the real free energy first used and discovered by Nikola Tesla. As the begging of the video states, "Since 1951, the government has restricted the release of nearly 5,000 technology patents that have the potential of ending many of today's greatest crises. Many of these patents relate to energy efficiency and free energy." Restricting Free Energy is another attempt for the government and corporations to control the population. Quoting the chorus, "Ever think what the wars are fought for? Ever dreamed that the world could be more?" Imagine if people generated their own power, local communities controlled their local power, residences pay very little or no utility bills. We can create that with Free Energy. The Luminaries have captured that hope in an entertaining and informative song with a stylish eye catching video to go along with it. The video is produced by Elevate and is cross promoted with the film Thrive which touches on the the topic of Free Energy. You can view it's release today on Elevates debut film distribution platform, PlayitForward. Look for those links in the description box of the Free Energy Video on Youtube. Musical artist, Wisdom recently debuted the music video "Never Give In" as his first single off the soon to be released album "Full Spectrum." This song gives positive motvation to keep going in many area of life. Encouraging messages of not giving in to procrastination, fears, ungratefulness, and hardships. And instead embracing not giving up on, taking the high road, self realization, and the main theme shown within the video; true love. The eye of wisdoms attention of never giving up on love is played by Dakini Star of Goddess Alchemy Project. Who is an amazing Conscious Artist herself, though not making a cameo on the song but instead through video. Which is a bit disappointing when seeing Miss Star in a music video, I expect to hear some fast rapping female empowered lyrics. She will be featured in a song on the album, so we'll have to wait for that collaboration of the divine feminine and masculine working together. "Never Give In" has a Reggae Hip-Hop feel. I commend Wisdom on creating a positively powered song with a skillfully balanced mix of reggae and hip-hop genres. I came home this evening feeling very empowered and excited for my future. A song popped into my head that I had heard on a local Christian radio. I managed to remember enough lyrics to find Royal Tailor's song "Make A Move" as the find to my search on google. Playing the song over and over has got me into a powerful state of having faith to make positive changes in my life. These changes will be literal and figurative moves in my life. See I've been trying to balance what is expected of me and what I truly want to do my whole life. This has caused some of my creative projects and passions to be placed on the back burner.Lately I have been evaluating where I want to be and what I really want to do with my life. Through this evaluation process I am finally starting to know that I actually can attract and act on my dreams. I hope this song encourages you to do the same. Make a Move - Lyrics Mr. Good Intentions, so much I wanna do My mouth just keeps on running, but I never follow through I heard that true religion, is love with hands and feet I wanna find my own way to reach a world in need Yeah, I've been captured by the unimportant Locked in, and now it's time to break free Chorus There's more to life Open my eyes Someone is needing You So I gotta make a move What good are words When this world hurts Real faith will come through When I make a move We don't need permission, to go outside of these doors And dream some crazy dream no one else has dreamed before To show love and compassion Whatever way it may be To put faith into action, do more than just believe We are hope to those who have been broken We were made to make a difference Chorus There's more to life Open my eyes Someone is needing You So I gotta make a move What good are words When this world hurts Real faith will come through When I make a move I’ve been captured by the unimportant Locked in and now it’s time to break free Now it’s time to break free Kerrie's Key @ Be Real Oxnard 09/30/2011
Meeting KerrieI was first introduced to Kerrie Roberts through her song "No Matter What" on Air 1 radio. The song carries a beautiful message of trusting in faith no matter what. I can't help myself but to sing and dance to her songs. Kerrie delivers powerful lyrics with belting vocal capabilities to make meaningful music. I was excited and determined to see her set at Be Real Oxnard. I had tried to arrange an interview with Miss Roberts but that was not in the cards for me. Upon taking my seat at the festival I felt like I was around family. Really I felt like I already knew everyone in the venue. As I did know them, I knew them through god. We came together to sing and celebrate in a house of god and ooh did it feel good. This was way more than a musical gathering and it turned out to be a very special and important event for me to just attend, receive, step forward and believe. Kerrie Sings "Keep Breathing"Kerrie took to a keyboard to sing the ballad "Keep Breathing." Ths is a great song to listen to when you feel like you want to give up. This song will give you the hope to not quit and keep going with whatever goal you wish to achieve. As the chorus says, "Keep breathing, don't give up, don't give in, don't let go, no you are not done yet." Watching Kerrie perform and singing along with her live was an amazing experience for me as I was able to see myself in her shoes. I received the knowingness that I too can be a singer spreading positive messages on stage as she was doing. I will keep breathing and singing! Encouragement in the song "Unstoppable""Unstoppable" is my new favorite song of Kerrie's. This song holds the key to being unstoppable, with the powerful decree, "Slam the door on all your fears. They're not welcome here." In the light of god you can shine through anything. Shine Bright! Nicki Minaj's Gem 09/04/2011
Nicki Minaj's Song "Fly" featuring Rihanna is a true Gem. Coming across a song on mainstream hip-hop radio that has the feeling of positive passion that this song has, is a rare find. The song glistens in its lyrics. "We come alive in a time of fear." "I am levitation, I represent an entire generation." And soars through the chorus. "I cam to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive. I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise. To fly." Knowing why you are here, why you were born on this earth and what you came here to do is crucial in these times or great change. This song captures what it is to know your purpose and gives a great motivation to let it fly! The Spiritual Significance of Music Book Review The Spiritual Significance of Music, book review from my personal spiritual perspective. Now I was very excited to see this project online. The title of the book and the energy of Justin beamed off my computer screen in lightness. So much so that I had to connect with him and do an interview. But upon further review of the book I can’t say the same for all the artists included in this publication. I understand that the author, Justin St. Vincent wanted to remain neutral in his believes and cover a wide range of music. But I am very surprised to see a numerous presence of death metal bands with names like Faith No More, Atheist, Demon Hunter, Cannibal Corpse, Enslaved, EYEHATEGOD, and Death Star, they don’t sound like spiritual music to me. Or lets just say these bands don’t seem to have very positive music. But that is not what this book is about. It is about the musician’s interpretations of how they believe music is spiritual. Not necessarily their own music’s spiritual messages. Personally I would have loved to read more about conscious artists who create spiritual music, but once again that is not Justin’s part of the puzzle. With that being said I did enjoy the interviews from the following artists, Ravi Shankar, Michael Franti, and Scott Johnson. My views on spiritually significant music are more inline with what that of the band, Everyday Sunday. “I believe music was created to glorify God. Unfortunately, not everyone that creates music does so to glorify God or please Him with what they are doing. A lot of the time, things people write can be just the opposite.” – Trey Pearson, Vocalist. Music can carry calm or chaos. It can be soothing or sinful. Music can cast a spell or a blessing. All I am saying is to use caution with what types of energies are coming from each band within the messages they have to say in this book. Music is energy. And music just like light and dark energies work the same; it’s all about what you resonate with. Which do you choose? Spiritual Significance of Music 08/07/2011
After visiting Justin St. Vincent's website showcasing his book The Spiritual Significance of Music I knew I had to connect with him. Within 24 hours of contacting him I we recorded an interview via Skype all about his book series. Check out the interview and leave comments on the video as to what you believe the Spiritual Significance of Music is. Good Life 08/06/2011
I recently heard the song "Good Life" from the band One Republic off of their album Waking Up, while flipping through stations in the car. It's great to see such a simplistic yet powerful positive message come through the radio. I couldn't help but to look up the song and play it over and over again on youtube. The video below is the version I like to play continually. Not the official video as it is too busy for my eyes. Not the 'Live at Walmart' version either, though the lead singer does have a great opening message that I quoted below, his voice does this weird high pitch thing on the word "this" that I can't stand to hear. But the simple fan video does the trick. Enjoy. “Everyday when you wake up you get to choose how that day is going to be. It can either be terrible or it can be good. I have a theory that you can decide to make whatever day a good day. And as cheesy as that sounds, I believe it’s true.” – Ryan Tedder, Lead Singer. | Melissa MaA muse for amusing meaningful music.
